The Terrorcons, led by
Scourge, attack a planet to seize the Transwarp key from the Maximal race. In
order to protect the valuable artifact, Apelinq hands over the key to Optimus
Primal, who quickly leaves the planet with a few remaining warriors. Apelinq's
sacrifice is witnessed from afar as the ship soars high. Unicron, the most
powerful and evil being in the universe, becomes furious and devours the
ancient planet. He orders Scourge to continue tracking the whereabouts of the Transwarp
key across various galaxies. Unicron needs it to enter any galaxy he desires
and devour all planets to increase his malevolent power.
New York, 1994. Noah is
feeling disappointed after failing to secure a job as a security officer,
despite being a former soldier with expertise in electronics. However, his
difficulty in working in teams has made him undesirable. Troubled by the need
to support his sickly mother and sibling, Noah ventures into the criminal world
with Reek. They plan to steal a car parked in a long-abandoned parking
structure, seemingly unowned. After successfully gaining entry, they discover
that the car can operate on its own, responding to Optimus Prime's call to
assemble. The car is Mirage, one of the Autobots. Engaging in a high-speed
chase with the police on the highway, Mirage eventually reunites with his three
comrades in an old warehouse.
A phenomenon of light
shoots up into the sky from a museum, visible only to alien races. This light
emanates from the Transwarp key, accidentally activated by Elena while
researching an ancient eagle statue. Not only the Autobots, but the Terrorcons
also notice the light and immediately descend upon Earth.
The Autobots, accompanied
by Noah, infiltrate the museum to retrieve the key as the Terrorcons unleash
havoc, destroying everything in their path. Despite Noah and Elena's efforts to
save the key, they are forced to feel defeated as Scourge successfully seizes
